"The boys stuck to our process and delivered what we set out to achieve"

"We will continue to work on putting sides away in the last quarter and other areas of our game we can improve on

Our Division Two men stood tall against a promising Sunbury Kangroos outfit on Saturday afternoon at Willowbrook. - We sat down with Head Coach Ash Flavel to get his thoughts on the game.

"It was a great win by the boys on Saturday, they definitely came out to play. We got off to a great start and kept a handy buffer for most of the day. I thought we controlled territory most of the game and the most pleasing thing was that the boys stuck to our process and delivered what we set out to achieve on the day as we lowered our colours last week against a dominant Burnside Heights Football Club.

Our relentless pressure all game was a highlight for our coaching staff to watch,  our rebound off half back was shown throughout the contest and our quick hands and speed really exposed the opposition. Another pleasing moment, a few debutants came into the side and played their role for the team.

Our last quarter was slightly disappointing when we just can't seem to put a side away, which now with the well earned break this week, we will continue to work on this and other areas of our game we can improve on. As we build momentum, coming up against a quality undefeated Taylors Lakes outfit at The Cage in two weeks, which I'm sure will be a cracker of a game.
