Mitch and Kai standing up when it matters

After nine rounds of the 2024 iFLY Under 14 Division 3 season, we sat down with captains of our Under 14’s program. The boys have had a tough year but continue to lead the way. 

Mitch and Kai have been outstanding leaders this year given the circumstances, the boys have come up against strong opponents each week but continue to show up for their team mates. Here's all you need to know about the two great mates standing up when it matters. 

Under 14.1's - Captain Mitchell Liersch

#1. What AFL team do you support? - Richmond Football Club

#2. Who is your favourite AFL player and why? - Shai Bolton, because his a gun footballer. 

#3. Name a team mate you love playing with and why? - Our vice captain Kai because he is really nice and a talented footballer. 

#4. What is your favourite playing position and why? - Midfield because you're involved in the game a lot. 

#5. What is your favourite football experience/memory and why? - Being named Captain because it's a great feeling to know you're important.

#1. What AFL team do you support? - Western Bulldogs Football Club

#2. Who is your favourite AFL player and why? - Marcus Bontempelli because he is the best player in the AFL. 

#3. Name a team mate you love playing with and why? - I cant pick one, I love playing with all my teammates. 

#4. What is your favourite playing position and why? - Midfield because I get a lot of the ball and get to set up goals. 

#5. What is your favourite football experience/memory and why? - Playing finals in Under 12, Division Two.
